Materra was founded by two registered nurses who spent years watching women fall through the cracks of a fragmented healthcare system.

A teenager who couldn't find a provider she felt comfortable talking to.
A new mother struggling through postpartum without enough support.
A woman in her fifties told her symptoms were 'just hormones' and sent home without answers.

We built Materra because every woman deserves care that knows her whole story- not just her current symptom.
Care that grows with her, from adolescence through menopause and beyond.
Care that doesn't require her to start over every time her health needs change.

We are a virtual-first clinic based in British Columbia, connecting women across the province with health care providers who have time to listen.

We offer MSP-covered services for eligible visits, with private-pay support for the care that falls outside the system.

We are also building BC's first comprehensive directory of lactation consultants, and growing a network of pelvic floor physiotherapists, therapists, and allied health partners;  because good care isn't one provider. It's a community.This is care built around you.
